Bill Gould is currently in his eighth season on the Boston College women's basketball staff, after joining as an assistant coach in July 1997. Gould's responsibilities include working closely with the post players, planning for game time special situations, preparing pre-season and post-season conditioning workouts, assisting with recruiting, sharing responsibility for game-film breakdown, and scheduling non-conference games. During the summer of 1999, he served on the staff that coached the BIG EAST/Nike Women's Basketball All-Star Team on a five-game tour of Belgium and Germany.

Prior to his arrival at Boston College, Gould served as an assistant coach at Stonehill College for four seasons. The team registered a record of 107-20 and an appearance in the Division II Final Four during his time.

In addition to his basketball duties at Stonehill, he served as an assistant track and field coach at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School in Whitman, Massachusetts for four years. Gould had coached at Whitman-Hanson Regional since 1988, serving as the junior varsity boy's basketball coach (1988-92).

Gould's basketball experience includes extensive work at a number of camps. He has worked at the Boston College Basketball Camp, Stonehill Basketball Camp and the Dave Cowens Basketball Camp since 1988. A 1991 graduate of Bridgewater State, Gould earned a bachelor of arts in history. He and his wife Jenny currently reside in Dedham, Mass. with their newborn son Jason.
