AS A COACH

• This will be Coach Faulkner's second season at Boston College.

• Was an assistant with Coach Erik Johnson at the University of Denver from 2008-12, and joined him on the BC staff in 2012-13.

• Coach Faulkner helped guide Lauren Engeln through the trials of playing a new position, while helping Nicole Boudreau and Kelly Hughes develop into one of the most dangerous shooting tandems in the country.

• With Faulkner's guidance, Lauren Engeln took over the point guard position for the Eagles. She started all 31 games and averaged 31 minutes and 7.4 points per game.

• Under Faulkner's direction, sophomore Nicole Boudreau emerged as a leader on and off the court as injuries began to affect the team. Boudreau started all 31 games, played a team-high 999 minutes and led the team in assists, steals and was second in scoring. She had 68 three's and shot 38.4 percent from long range, enough for 53rd in the country in three-point field goal percentage.

• Coach Faulkner helped Kelly Hughes navigate through her freshman season. Hughes was the team's leading scorer (11.2 ppg.) and was 17th in the country in 3-point field goal percentage. She set a new freshman record at BC with 74 three's in the season, while shooting 42.3 percent from long range.

• Faulkner's first season at BC saw the team go from winning just seven games to a 12-19 record in the 2012-13 season. BC improved in ACC action, earning five regular season conference games.

• In non-conference action, BC earned key wins over Big East perennial power Rutgers as well as BYU.

• This season, the team won two straight ACC road games - at Virginia Tech and at Clemson - for the first time since entering the conference.

• BC won the final regular season ACC game vs. Georgia Tech, the first win over the Yellow Jackets since Jan. 17, 2010.

• Boston College also defeated Virginia twice - once during the regular season and the second win in the first round of ACC Tournament. It marked the first time BC earned a win over UVA in the ACC Tournament

• With Faulkner's assistance, Kristen Doherty developed into a solid all-around player for the Eagles. The junior led the team in scoring, steals and was second in assists and rebounds.

• Faulkner helped freshman Nicole Boudreau emerge as a scorer last season. Boudreau, who earned All-ACC Freshman team honors, was second on the team in three-pointers made and led all conference rookies in minutes played and three-pointers made. She was also the second highest scoring rookie in the conference during the regular season.

• Faulkner, a native of Oregon City, OR, was also assistant coach at her alma mater Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California. In her two seasons as an assistant, Vanguard went 62-3 and the team advanced to the 2006 and 2007 NAIA Final Four.

AS A PLAYER

• Played for two years at Vanguard.

• Was a two-time all-conference selection and as well as being named a NAIA Co-Player of the Year and Kodak All-American as a senior.

• Was the Vanguard Female Athlete of the Year as a junior and senior and the Golden State Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 2004.

• Earned her bachelor's degree in sociology from Vanguard in 2005 and a master's degree in leadership and organizations at the University of Denver in 2012.
