Feb. 27, 2013

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Seven Boston College cross country team members were named to the 2012 All-ACC Academic team as announced by Commissioner John Swofford on Wednesday.

Bridget Dahlberg, Jillian King, Morgan Mueller, Allison Stasiuk, and Liv Westphal highlighted the women’s team while Anthony Bellitti and graduate student Tyler King earned the honors on the men’s side.

To be eligible for these honors, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 GPA or greater for the previous semester and their cumulative academic careers.

Jillian King, Westphal and Dahlberg were named to the team in 2011 while King took home the honors for the third time in her career at the Heights. King and Westphal recently received individual USTFCCCA Division I All-Academic accolades for the 2012 season.

Both teams also earned USTFCCCA All-Academic recognition for the third straight year.  To qualify, the team must have a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or greater and have started at least five runners at their NCAA Regionals.
