Boston - The Boston College men's cross country team took seven of the top 10 spots at the 22nd Annual Mayor's Cup held in Franklin Park on early Sunday morning. The Eagles, competing in the Franklin Park 5K run, totaled 26 points in the friendly.
Sophomore Jordan Hamm took second overall in 15:37, coming in just three seconds behind overall champion Patrick Fullerton.
Junior Louis Serafini came in third of the 457 person field. The Niskayuna, N.Y., native completed the course in 15:45.
Other top 10 finishes included sophomore Anthony Bellitti in fourth (16:05), freshman Richard Lucas in sixth (16:16), junior James Glover in eighth (16:19), senior Akash Chougule in ninth (16:22) and junior Nahed Lakkis in 10th (16:23).
Freshman Tim Ferris came in 16:26, with sophomore Joseph McConaughy right behind in 16:28. Senior John Shannon was clocked at 16:32, freshman James Newhouse at 16:39 and sophomore Shane Constantine in 17:07.
Current Boston College men's cross country and track & field assistant coaches, Tim Ritchie and Dave Emerson led the Boston Athletic Association to a second place team finish in the Men's 8K Championship. Ritchie took sixth in 23:51, while Emerson came in 46th with a 25:26 clip.
