MXC Competes at Paul Short Run

Bethlehem, Penn. - The Boston College men's cross country team took 43rd place at the Paul Short Run on Saturday morning. The Eagles had a team score of 1117 on the 8K course.
Senior Anthony Bellitti crossed the line first for the Eagles with a time of 25:43. Freshman Brian McDavitt followed, finishing in 26:19. Juniors Brian Wolff (26:21) and Tim Ferris (26:27) and freshman James Zingarini (27:07) rounded out the top five for the Eagles.
Two of the top seven runners on the team were out do to heat exhaustion, and the other Paul Short races that were scheduled for the rest of the day were cancelled due to the heat.
Indiana University took the top spot at the invitational, putting up 89 team points and running an average time of 24:26.
The Eagles will compete next at the New England Championships on Oct. 12.
