Kasey Hill Leads Eagles at BU Multi-Team Meet

Boston, Mass. - The Boston College men and women's indoor track teams tallied 17 first-place performances in the Multi-Team Meet against Boston University and Sacred Heart held at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center on Thursday.
The women took first place with 94 points. Sacred Heart followed with 52.50 points and Boston University placed third with 23.50 points. The men placed second with 64 points while Sacred Heart won the multi-meet with 103 points. Boston University captured 22 points.
Senior Kasey Hill recorded a personal-best performance in the 200-meter dash, clocking a 24.85 to lead all runners. Hill's time put her second on BC's all-time performance list and marks the second-fastest time in the ACC this season. She also took top honors in the 55-meter hurdles, crossing in 8.19, tying her fastest performance in the event this season.
Freshman Christy Titus marked her fastest time of the season in the 3,000-meter, placing first in 10:16.19 and also ranking second in the ACC. Other top-performers on the night included senior Alison Fogarty in the 400-meter dash (59.33), junior Alicia Henry in the 500-meter dash (1:18.18), sophomore Brielle Chabot in the 1-mile (4:56.41), freshman Caroline King in the 800-meter (2:12.28), senior Mary Heitkamp in the 1,000-meter (2:53.30), senior Tiana Riel in the high jump and senior Carolyn Rayburn-Hwang in the pole vault.
Sophomore Mike Akins highlighted the men's performances by taking first in the 500-meter in a time of 1:06.89. Freshman Mark Domaracki ran a personal-best 49.62 in the 400-meter, placing first. Junior Tim Ritchie (1-mile), senior Josh Springer (800-meter), junior Brendan Collins (1,000-meter) and senior Jeremy Zagorski (3,000-meter) also registered first-place performances in the meet.

The Eagle's indoor track teams continue competition on Jan. 26 in the Reebok Boston Games held at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, Mass. The events are slated to begin at 5:30 p.m.
