Men's Tennis Falls To No. 24 Wake Forest, 5-2

The Boston College men's tennis team lost to No. 24 Wake Forest 5-2 on Friday afternoon at the Wake Forest tennis complex in Winston-Salem, N.C.

The loss drops Boston College to 10-14 (0-10 ACC) on the year, while the win improves Wake Forest to 12-8 (6-4 ACC) for the season.

The Eagles two points on the afternoon came from their number one and two singles players as they defeated nationally ranked opponents.

Akash Muppidi took down No. 43 Tripper Carleton at the number two singles position 7-6, 6-1, and Thomas Nolan beat No. 106 Iain Atkinton at the number one singles spot 3-6, 6-4, 10-6.

Boston College will be back in action tomorrow as it will take on NC State at 12 p.m. in its regular season finale.
