Men's Tennis Falls to No. 26 Florida State, 6-1

Sophomore Matt Wagner won his singles match, but Boston College fell to No. 26 Florida State, 6-1, at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center in Tallahassee, Fla., on Friday night.

The Seminoles (16-6, 3-3 ACC) won the doubles point before taking five of six singles matches from the Eagles (5-10, 0-5 ACC).

Wagner defeated Joao Gauer, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4), on court No. 6 to pick up his first ACC singles win of the year and BC's only point in the match.

Junior Michael McGinnis pushed Benjamin Lock to three sets before falling, 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-6), on singles court No. 2.

Next, Boston College plays at Miami on Sunday at 11 a.m.
