The Boston College men's tennis team picked up two wins in the Round of 128 at the Pacific Coast Doubles tournament in La Jolla, Calif., from Friday to Sunday.
Senior Billy Grokenberger teamed with sophomore Philip Nelson to defeat Francis Alcantara and Finn Tearney of Pepperdine, 3-6, 6-4, 10-7, in the Round of 128 before falling in the Round of 64.
Sophomore Matt Wagner partnered with freshman Kyle Childree to down Cameron and Christopher Bernhardt, 6-4, 6-2, in the Round of 128 before also losing in the Round of 64.
The doubles team of junior Christian McKean and sophomore Spencer Canny earned a victory in the consolation, 6-4, 3-6, 10-7, over Oleksiy Arovin and Brady Bohrnstedt.
Boston College remains on the West Coast for a match at UC Davis on Monday at 10 a.m. ET.
