Freshman Alexandre Thirouin and junior Christian McKean won singles matches in their first action of the spring dual match season to help Boston College sweep Hartford, 7-0, at the Flynn Recreation Complex in Chestnut Hill, Mass., on Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles (4-2, 0-0 ACC) took all three matches in doubles and won five of six singles matches in straight sets over the visiting Hawks (0-3, 0-0 AE).
Junior Jonathan Raude, senior Klaus Puestow, freshman Kyle Childree, and sophomore Matt Wagner all earned victories in singles in addition to Thirouin and McKean.
Sophomore Philip Nelson teamed with senior Billy Grokenberger to win on court No. 1 in doubles while junior Michael McGinnis - with Wagner - and Thirouin - with Puestow - also won doubles matches.
Next, Boston College will play Brown at the Dedham Health & Athletic Complex in Dedham, Mass., on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
