Men's Tennis Splits Double-Header

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men’s tennis team split its double-header this Saturday, defeating Bryant University, 7-0, and falling to Virginia Tech, 7-0, in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

Against Bryant, Philip Nelson went 1-0 in singles and doubles at the No. 1 spot. In singles he defeated Dana Parziale, 6-5, 1-6, 6-5. The tandem of Nelson and McNulty beat Max Vogt and Zachary Morris at the No. 1 spot, 8-3.

Captain Jonathan Raude was victorious at the No. 2 spot, defeating Zachary Morris, 6-3, 6-0. He and teammate Alexandre Thirouin won their doubles match at the No. 3, 6-3.

Freshman Hank Workman secured his third singles victory of his collegiate career at the No. 4 spot, 6-2, 6-4.

In the later match against Virginia Tech, the Hokies swept all matches in singles and doubles, defeating the Eagles 7-0.

Boston College is back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at Brown.
