M. Swimming Sweeps Williams and Fordham at Tri-Meet

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Boston College men's swimming and diving team earned two victories to sweep the field at a tri-meet on Saturday, Dec. 3. The Eagles defeated host Williams, 193-107, and downed Fordham, 185-113.
Marty Long led BC with wins in both the One-Meter and Three-Meter diving competitions. Collin Thilo, Sean Murphy and James Boretti also earned individual wins for Boston College at the meet. Thilo took first in the 100-Yard Butterfly (50.33), Murphy won the 100-Yard Breaststroke (58:46) and Boretti was the top finisher in the 1,000-Yard Freestyle (9:45.96). Nick Henze, JP Perez, and Andrew Stranick all placed in multiple events.
Thilo, Perez, Eddie Timmerman and Connor Stickney combined to earn a victory for BC in the 400-Yard Freestyle Relay event.
BC takes the win into winter break, as the team will not compete again until after the holidays. The Eagles return to action when they travel to Upstate New York to take on Canisius on Jan. 13 at 1 p.m. and Niagara on Jan. 14 at 11 a.m.
