Men's Swimming Competes at First Meet of Season

WEST POINT, N.Y. -

The Boston College men's swimming and diving team came in second out of three teams, defeating Rowan University (203-90), but falling to host Army (174-118), in the first meet of the Season.

Andrew Stranick was the top performer for the Eagles as he finished first in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 58.69 and first in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:09.22. He also competed in the 400 yard freestyle relay in which his team place fourth with a time of 3:21.49.

James Boretti also had a strong performance for the Eagles, finishing first in the 200 yard IM, fourth in the 1000 yard freestyle, fifth in the 500 yard freestyle, and his 400 yard freestyle relay team came in third.

The Eagles will be back in action on Oct. 6 at Fairfield University
