M. Swimming Competes at UConn Open

STORRS, Conn. - The Boston College men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed in the UConn Open on Saturday, Feb. 16. The Eagles competed against seven other schools, but the meet was not scored.

The men were led by junior Jason Castillo, who finished second in both the 100 yard breaststroke (59.71) and the 200 yard breaststroke (2:12.08), sophomore Carter Smith who took second in the 200 yard butterfly (1:59.14) and freshman David Hunter who was third in the 200 yard freestyle (1:45.88).

On the women's side, GIllian Walsh took second in the 200 IM (2:12.77), Kelly DiStefano finished third in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:07.20), Stephanie Ng finished third in the 100 yard backstroke (1:00.37) and Caitlin Marks took third in the 200 yard breaststroke (2:27.63).

This concluded the regular season for the Eagles. The ACC Championship begins February 20.
