Boston College finishes 10th at ACC Championship; totals 205 points thanks to strong showing from relay squads

As a Freshman (2012-2013): Selected to the 2013 ACC team where he swam the 200 IM (1:54.62), 100 Freestyle (47. 38), and 400 IM where he had a top 24 finish with a time of 4:07.31, which was a personal best. At the 2012 Terrier Invitational Matt had top 8 finishes in the 200IM, finished 6th with a time of 1:54.64, as well as the 400IM in a time of 4:07.87, which were both best times at the time. Matt was named to the 2012-13 All-ACC Academic Honor Roll for having a GPA above a 3.0 as a student athlete. After his first year competing as a Boston College Eagle, Matt has achieved personal bests in both the 200 IM (1:54.62) and 400 IM (4:07.31).
BEFORE BC: Matt has lettered all four years at Vista Del Lago High School where he has been named to all-league multiple times and all-city in 2012. He holds his schools 200 Freestyle record and is a part of the record breaking 400 Freestyle relay. He earned the "High Point Male Athlete" award in 2012. Besides High School Swim, Matt also swims for the Sierra Marlins (a year-round team in Folsom, CA) where he is a Grand Prix qualifier and a member of the elite senior group.
PERSONAL: From Folsom, CA. He is the son of Marlene Zerweck and Randall Felkel. In Folsom, Matt swims for the Sierra Marlins Swim Team (SMST).
