Veteran leaders and talented freshmen look to succeed this season
As a Junior (2010-11)
Chris finally had his first injury free season as an Eagle, and the results of his hard work to stay injury free rewarded him with another season of personal bests, of 188 1M and 206.84 3M.... was a member of the travel squad throughout the course of the entire season, and travelled to the ACC Championships in Atlanta Georgia, where he beat his previous championship bests by a combined 25 points.... Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll and received the Athletic Director's Award for Academic Excellence for the 3rd time in as many seasons.
As a Sophomore (2009-10)
Sophomore season was a difficult one for Chris as he battled injuries both to his wrists and back, both of which took him out of competition for multiple weeks....earned a spot on the ACC squad, despite the setbacks.... established new lifetime bests of 170.00 1M and 200.85 3M, as well as championship bests of 144.75 1M and 147.50 3M ...recipient of the Athletic Director's Award for Academic Excellence and being named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
As a Freshman (2008-09)
Chris worked hard to develop as a diver, establishing an entirely new 1M list from high school as well as competing 3M for the first time.... Traveled with the team to almost all of the team's competitions.... Achieved life-time bests of 159.9 1M and 138.9 3M throughout the course of the season.... While he was working hard on the boards, Chris also excelled in the classroom being named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll, as well as receiving the Athletic Director's Award for Academic Excellence. Additionally, Chris received the James J. Kane Award for Academic Excellence on the Men's Team.
Attended St. John's Preparatory School in Danvers, Massachusetts...began swimming as a ninth grader and started diving as a 10th grader...lettered for all four years on the team...team won state championship three times...finished with fifth place finish in league diving championship
Chris is from Reading, Massachusetts...he is the son of Denis Walsh and Deirdre Bradley...has sister, Gillian ...Chris swam with the Burbank YMCA Bluefins and dives with Boston Area Diving...enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences
