Veteran leaders and talented freshmen look to succeed this season

As a Senior(2011-2012)
James will be leading the team as he was named Captain for the 2011-12 season.

As a Junior (2010-2011)
Competed mostly in the Freestyle events... part of the record holding 200 Freestyle SCM Relay (1:37.53)...Part of the dual meet best 800 Freestyle Relay at the Dartmouth Invitational (7:06.48)...The top finisher for BC at the Terrier Invite in the 200 Freestyle earning sixth place overall (1:44.05)...Holder of the second fastest dual meet time during the Fordham meet (1:45.76)...Member of the ECAC Championship Team... played an intricate part in the second place 800 freestyle relay at ECAC's (6:49.96) with the second fastest split time (1:42.41)...Was a top finisher for BC in the 200 Freestyle at ECAC's earning eleventh place overall (1:42.95)... competed just as well in academics as he was named to 2010-11 All-ACC Academic Honor Roll...earned 2010-11 Athletic Director's Award for Academic Achievement...

As a Sophomore (2009-2010)
Competed in mostly the 200 & 500 freestyle...played an intricate part in the third place 800 Freestyle Relay at the Terrier Invite (6:54.11)...James also succeeded in the classroom after being named to 2009-10 All-ACC Academic Honor Roll...earning 2009-10 Athletic Director's Award for Academic Achievement.

As a Freshman (2008-2009)
Saw limited action early on in the season as James contracted Mononucleosis within his first month of being at school, keeping he out of the pool until December...Despite this James was able to obtain a spot on the 2009 ACC Championship team through perseverance and hard work in the pool...he continued this hard work in the classroom after being named to 2008-09 All-ACC Academic Honor Roll...earning 2008-09 Athletic Director's Award for Academic Achievement

BEFORE BC
Attended Fox Lane High School in Bedford, NY...swam varsity all four years...team won state championship in 2006 and 2007...team captain in 2008...all- league, all-section and All- American...a scholar-athlete and member of National Honor Society...Swam for Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester Marlins starting at age 10...member of eight consecutive national championship team with club team

James is from Mount Kisco, New York...he is the son of Karen and Eric Karle...he has a brother, Matthew...James also has two sisters, Stephanie and Katherine....enrolled in the Carroll School of Management.
