Merwin top performer for BC

AS A FRESHMAN (2011-2012): Outstanding Performer at the ACC Championships, NE Catholic Invite and Niagara University meet...had a top 8 finish in the 200 free and top 16 finishes in the 50, 100, and 500 free at the Terrier Invitational and swam on the 200, 400, and 800 free relays...had 38 first place finishes throughout the season ...held team dual meet bests in the 200 free, 200 free relay, and 100 free-split...member of the 2012 ACC squad and placed 18th in the 200 free, also swam the 50 free, 100 free, and 200, 400, and 800 free relays...set a BC school record in the 200 free relay at ACCs.

BEFORE BC: Varsity team for four years and three-time First Team All League... First team California Central Coast Section senior year. High School Swim Team MVP junior and senior years, and achieved All- American Consideration times in both individual and relay events ... Team captain as a senior and placed in the top six for both individual events and a relay event in the California Central Coast Section Championships...holds the school record in the 200 free and 400 free relay...named Menlo-Atherton High's 2010-2011 Male Senior Athlete of the Year.
