Veteran leaders and talented freshmen look to succeed this season
AS A SENIOR (2011 - 2012): Andrew was named Best Dressed Swimmer at the first day of practice.
AS A JUNIOR (2010 - 2011): AT the ECAC Championship: was team's top finisher in the 100 breaststroke (11th, 58.14) and the 200 breaststroke (9th, 2:05.50)... AT the Terrier Invitational... won the 200 breaststroke (2:03.94) and placed 4th in the 100 breaststroke (58.13), and was named an outstanding performer on themeet... DURING the regular season: finished first place 7 times, scored a total of 192.00 points (10th); 200 breaststroke was named an outstanding performance against Tufts University
AS A SOPHOMORE (2009 - 2010): AT the ACC Championship: was the top finisher for the Eagles in the 100 breaststroke (57.91) as well as the 200 breaststroke (2:03.70) which set a SCHOOL RECORD and was named an outstanding performance... AT the Terrier Invitational top finisher in both the 100 (4th, 58.93) and 200 breaststroke (2nd, 2:05.51) where the 200 was named an outstanding performance both on the meet and on the season... DURING the regular season, finished first place 16 times and scored a total of 223.75 points (3rd on the team); had the best dual meet time in 100 breaststroke (1:00.01), 200 breaststroke (2:10.07), and the 100 breaststroke split in the 400 Medley Relay (1:03.60)--all of which are in the all time top ten... was named Outstanding Performer vs. Fordham/Williams, vs. Boston University... AT training trip was on the championship fin relay team, Black Lung
AS A FRESHMAN (2008 -2009): Touched the wall first 14 times... was second on the team in total scoring at 295... won the 200 Breaststroke at the Terrier Invitational--also named an outstanding performance... was again awarded outstanding performance for his 2000 breaststroke against Williams and Fordham... named outstanding performer against UMass... awarded the Harold M. Groden, M.D. Award for his outstanding performance is the 200 Breaststroke against Dartmouth College, where he was also named an outstanding performer... broke the team record in the 200 Individual Medley, which had stood since 1993, at the ACC Championships
BEFORE BC: Attended St. Charles Prep School... lettered four years... All-League in 2005 and 2006... All-District from 2006-2008... All-State in 2007 and 2008... All-America 2008... member of First District championship swim team in 2006, as well as the school's first state championship swim team in 2008... Swam for New Albany Aquatic Club, where he is the record holder in the 200 breaststroke
PERSONAL: Andrew is from Dublin, Ohio... the son of Michael and Maureen Clancey... has two brothers, Bill and Matt
