M. Swimming Opens 2011-12 Season at West Point

Veteran leaders and talented freshmen look to succeed this season

AS A SENIOR (2013-2014):Jason competed in many events for the Eagles this season and came on strong to finish the season...He was named one of the Outstanding Performers in BC's final meet at the UCONN Open...Castillo placed second in both the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke events...Other notable efforts came against Providence and Tufts...Jason placed second in the 50 and 200 breaststroke and second in the 100 Individual Medley.

AS A JUNIOR (2012-2013): Member of travel squad... Recorded in season best times against University of Maine with second and third place finishes in the 200 and 100 breastroke... Achieved new collegiate best times in the 100 and 200 breastroke at the Terrier Invitational, placing 12th in both events... Attained a new PR in the 200 IM at Terrier, finishing 15th

AS A SOPHOMORE (2011-2012): Traveled with the team to all meets during first semester... Achieved season best times at the Terrier invite, qualifying for finals in the 200 IM and 200 breastroke... Recorded collegiate best time in the 100 breastroke at Fordham/Williams tri-meet... Named to 2011-12 All-ACC Academic Honor Roll... Earned 2011-12 Athletic Director's Award for Academic Achievement

AS A FRESHMAN (2010-2011): Competed in breastroke and IM events throughout the season... in addition to competing in home meets, traveled with the team to the majority of the away meets throughout the season...Placed top sixteen in the 200 breaststroke at the Terrier Invite, helping the team to a second place finish... Also made finals in the 100 breastroke and 400 IM at the Terrier Invite... Finished up the season as a member of the ACC travel squad to Atlanta, GA,\... achieved seasonal bests at the ACC meet.

BEFORE-BC: Four-year varsity swimmer at Whitefish Bay High School... Achieved all-conference honors and qualified to state all four years... Awarded Bill Miller MVP Award sophomore year (2007-2008) and junior year (2008-2009) and named team captain senior year (2009-2010)... Achieved all-state recognition on seven occasions throughout high school and was nominated as swimmer of the year for high school swimming junior year... Also swam for Schroeder YMCA swim team and qualified for YMCA nationals four years in a row (2007-2010)... National Honor Society Member.

PERSONAL: Originally from Albuquerque, NM...currently lives in Whitefish Bay, WI...Carroll School of Management...Son of Willie and Kathy...sister Sarah, who is a senior at the University of Wisconsin and actively competes as a member of the UW triathlon team.
