Named to 2009-10 All-ACC Academic Honor Roll...earned 2009-10 Athletic Director's Award for Academic Achievement...Named one of 2010-11 Captains.

AS A FRESHMAN (2007-2008)
A regular contributor in the 50, 100, 200 Freestyles and Sprint Freestyle Relays in the duel meet season...Helped the team to an awesome victory over Dartmouth with a win in the 200 Free, a race for which he won Outstanding Performance of the Year...Participated in all travel meets...chosen to ACC squad...Swam the 50 (21.54), 100 (46.70), 200 Free (1:44.24) in Atlanta and also was part of the record setting 800-Free Relay with classmates Brett Bromann and John Maloy as well as senior captain Billy Schwitter... Also part of the 200 and 400 Free Relays...

Attended Farmingdale High School... Joined the Varsity team as a 8th grader... Lettered all five years...M.V.P. 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th Grade... Captain as Senior... All County 2005, 2006, 2007... All Long-Island 2006, 2007... State Qualifier junior and senior seasons...Holds three school records...Swam club for Team Suffolk: Half Hollow Hills under Coach John Pisano...Sectional Qualifier in 50 100 200 freestyles...Member of Junior National Qualifying 800 yd freestyle relay team.

Dom hails from North Massapequa on Long Island, NY. He is the son of Vincent and Virginia Boccio and has one younger sister, Marissa (16), who also is a talented swimmer and is a young film maker.
