Boston College rising sophomore Sacir Hot has completed a domestic training camp with U.S. U-20 Men's National Team in San Jose. The camp, which ran from June 27 - July 5, included 24 players representing youth, college and professional ranks.
Hot, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound center back, represented one of 10 collegiate soccer players from nine different schools on the training camp's roster. The roster also included eight players who compete in Mexico, and one each in Brazil, Cost Rica and Portugal.
The U.S. U-20 national team is approximately seven months away from the CONCACAF U-20 Championship, which will serve as the qualifying tournament for the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Prior to qualifying, the U.S. will also compete in the Northern Ireland's annual Milk Cup, a prestigious youth association tournament, held from July 26 - July 30. There, Team USA will compete in the Elite international division against teams from Northern Ireland, Japan, Chile, Mexico and Denmark for the Cup.
