CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Junior defenders Chris Ager and Ryan Dunn have been named to the 2012 All-ACC Academic Men's Soccer Team, as announced by Commissioner John Swofford.
This is Ager's third appearance on the All-ACC Academic Team and Dunn's second.
Ager and Dunn were two of three student-athletes to start all 19 matches for the Eagles last fall. They anchored the BC defense that ranked fourth in the ACC in goals allowed (1.05) and goals against average (0.98), and fifth in shutouts (7). They were on the pitch for all seven of BC's shutouts.
The defensive duo also contributed on the offensive end. Ager assisted on a goal in a 4-2 win against Rhode Island on September 25 while Dunn scored the first goal in a 2-1 double overtime win against San Francisco on September 22.
To be eligible for All-ACC Academic Team consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
