Ager, Dunn Named To All-ACC Academic Team

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Sophomore defenders Chris Ager and Ryan Dunn have been named to the 2011 All-ACC Academic Men's Soccer Team, as announced by Commissioner John Swofford.

This is Ager's second appearance on the All-ACC Academic Team and Dunn's first.

Ager, who served as team captain, started 19 games this past season as a central defender and has made 34 starts the last two years. Dunn started 20 games and has 22 in his career. Both were an integral part of the Eagle defense that ranked third in the ACC in shutouts (7) and fourth in goals allowed (26).

Ager recorded the first goal and assist of his career in a 4-3 overtime win against Virginia Tech September 16. Dunn had an assist in a 5-0 win vs. Quinnipiac September 1.

To be eligible for All-ACC Academic Team consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
