Men's Soccer Falls to Georgetown, 2-1, in Season Finale

Georgetowns Kyle Rakow tallied one goal and one assist to lead the Hoyas to a BIG EAST victory over Boston College, 2-1, in BCs season finale at Belmont Hill Field.
The Hoyas Eric Kvello gave his team a 1-0 advantage with his goal in the 13th minute. Georgetown increased its lead to 2-0 with Rakows goal at 59:27.
Playing in his final collegiate game, senior Chris Lynch (Chagrin Falls, Ohio) cut the lead in half with his goal at 69:00. The Eagles could not capitalize on many free kick opportunities in the second half.
Sophomore Chris Hamblin (Bristol, England) made eight saves for BC, including two from short range. Georgetowns Tyler Putrill made nine saves.
Boston College finishes the season with a 5-10-2 record, 2-8-1 in the BIG EAST. Georgetown improves to 13-4 on the season, 7-4 in conference action.
