Notre Dame junior Andrew Aris tallied two goals to lead the Fighting Irish to a 3-0 BIG EAST victory
over Boston College at Belmont Hill.
The Eagles controlled the game until the 36th minute when Aris got behind the defense to head a
ball past BC sophomore goalkeeper Chris Hamblin (Bristol, England). Aris notched his second
goal at the 76:05 mark to give the Irish a 2-0 advantage.
Notre Dame senior Matt Johnson netted NDs final goal in the 78th minute. Johnson also had an
assist on Aris first goal.
Hamblin made one save in 81 minutes before being relieved by senior Mike Babst (Pittsburgh, PA).
The Irishs Greg Velho made two saves.
The Eagles will play their final regular-season game on Sunday, November 1 at 1 p.m. when they
face BIG EAST foe Georgetown at Belmont Hill.
