Men's Soccer Falls to Rutgers, 1-0

Rutgers freshman forward Dennis Ludwig scored the games lone goal in the 80th minute to lead the Scarlet Knights over Boston College in a BIG EAST match played at Taunton Field.

Ludwig lifted the ball over the BC goalie and placed his game-winning shot in the left corner of the net. Freshman Dustin Sheppard and junior Simon Forster assisted on the goal. Sophomore Chris Hamblin (Bristol, England) made nine saves for the Eagles. Rutgers Jonathan Conway made two saves to record the shutout.

Boston College falls to 5-7-2 on the season, 2-5-1 in the BIG EAST. The Scarlet Knights improve to 10-4-1 overall, 7-1 in the conference. The Eagles will return to action on Saturday, October 24 at 11 a.m. when they face BIG EAST rival Notre Dame at Belmont High School.
