PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Boston College senior Danny Horan (Dublin, Ireland) scored the game-winning goal in the 76th minute to lead the Eagles to a 2-0 victory over 11th-ranked Brown University at the Brown University Invitational in Providence, R.I.

Horan netted his first goal of the season from 12 yards off an assist from sophomore Martin Cantillo (Ft. Lauderdale, FL). Freshman Eyvind Aasen (Grimstad, Norway) capped the game's scoring at 84:39 when he blasted a shot from 18 yards.

Sophomore Chris Hamblin (Bristol, England) made three saves en route to his first shutout of the season, seventh of his career. Brown's Matthew Cross made five saves.

Boston College improves to 3-1 on the season and the Bears fall to 0-1. The Eagles will return to action on Monday, September 13 in their second game of the Brown University Tournament. Boston College will face Yale at noon.
