Men's Soccer Defeats Hartford, 2-1

Boston College sophomore Brian Mollo (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) scored the game-winning goal in the 49th minute to lead the Eagles to a 2-1 victory over the University of Hartford at Natick High School.
Mollos gamewinner was set up by a 25-yard pass from sophomore Sjur Gundersen (Grimstad, Norway). Hartfords junior Brian Kerachsky started the scoring in the 13th minute, but the Eagles rebounded with two consecutive goals.
Sophomore Kevin Boyd (Del Mar, CA) notched the equalizer at 18:29 off a cross from freshman Chris Cleary (Milton, MA).
Hartfords Chris Doyle made four saves. Boston College sophomore Chris Hamblin (Bristol, England) faced five shots and did not register a save.
Boston College improved to 1-0 on the season and the Hawks fell to 0-1. The Eagles will be back in action at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3 when they host the UMass-Lowell River Hawks at Natick High School.
