Appeared in 17 games, starting 12 in the midfield ? suffered a nagging leg injury that limited his playing time ? was fifth on the team in scoring with 10 points on four goals and two assists ? scored on a 30-yard free kick against Syracuse in the opening game of the season (Aug. 31); also added an assist on Adam Pfeifer?s second goal of the game ? found the back of the net at Virginia Tech (Sept. 22) ? lobbed a shot over the Harvard keeper?s head to open the scoring against the Crimson (Sept. 26) ? netted the game-winning penalty kick against Brown (Oct. 31) ? also chipped in an assist on Neil Krause?s first goal of the game against Georgetown (Oct. 28).

As a Sophomore (2000)
Played in all 20 games this season, making 17 starts ... saw time in both the forward and midfield positions ... scored five goals on the season and added five assists, career highs in both categories ? surged at the end of the season and had a five-game point scoring streak going from the last two games of the regular season through the BIG EAST tournament ... named BIG EAST tournament Most Outstanding Player after netting two goals and two assists in three tournament games ... named to the Soccer America Team of the Week for his performance in the BIG EAST tournament ... was 14th in the BIG EAST in overall scoring ? scored the game's second goal against Providence (Sept. 13) and added an assist on Ramon Smith's goal later in the game ... assisted on Casey Schmidt's goal against Villanova (Sept. 24) ? assisted on Schmidt's goal to set up a 1-1 tie with UConn (Oct. 11), sending a perfect pass from the top of the Eagles' goal box to the midfield - clearing a pinched in defense - to a waiting Schmidt ? scored back-to-back game-winning goals to end the regular season: came sweeping in along the baseline to pocket Jorgen Lie and Chris Cleary's pass against Georgetown (Oct. 27) and then hooked in a shot past the Brown keeper for the win (Oct. 31) ... scored the opening goal of the game against Georgetown in the BIG EAST Quarterfinals (Nov. 5) ... served a corner ball to Kevin Boyd who flicked it to Schmidt for the game-winning score in the BIG EAST Semifinals against Rutgers (Nov. 10) to send the Eagles to their first league championship game since 1993 ? against Seton Hall in the BIG EAST Championship game (Nov. 12), assisted on Brian Mollo's goal and then came back and scored the game-winning goal in the second half to secure the team's first league tournament title since 1990 and the first NCAA bid since that year ? started in the midfield in the NCAA tournament game against Rhode Island (Nov. 19) and put two shots on goal ? earned the Athletic Director's Award for Academic Achievement.

Made an immediate impact in the midfield ? played in 12 games, making 11 starts ? made his collegiate debut against Villanova and registered his first career goal on one shot ? started the remaining games in the season, except against Georgetown which he missed ? earned his first career assist on Jorgen Lie's goal against Boston University assisted on Chris Cleary's goal against Brown ? cornered a ball to Schmidt for the decisive goal against Sacred Heart ... earned the Athletic Director's Award for Academic Achievement.
