As a Junior (2002)
Appeared in 22 matches, starting 14 ... wore a cast on his left wrist following mid-season surgery ? ranked third on the team in points (18) and was fourth in goals (six) ... four of his goals were gamewinners, including the one in the 78th minute of BC?s 2-1 NCAA Tournament second-round win over Northeastern (Nov. 27) ... assisted on Guy Melamed?s goal in BC?s win over SMU in the third round of the NCAA Tournament (Dec. 1) ... scored at 115:31 of the second overtime to give BC a 3-2 win over UNLV (Sept. 6); also had an assist in that game ... put in the game?s only goal in a 1-0 win over Seton Hall (Oct. 5) ... netted the Eagles? first goal in their 2-0 victory over Pittsburgh (Oct. 20) ... evened the count at 1-1 with a second-half goal at West Virginia (Sept. 21) ... assisted on Casey Schmidt?s gamewinner in a 3-1 win at Syracuse (Oct. 23) ... tallied assists vs. BU (Sept. 25), Georgetown (Sept. 28) and Providence (Nov. 9).

As a Sophomore (2001)
Appeared in all 18 games, starting nine ? was second on the team in scoring with 14 points (five goals and four assists) ? had a pair of two-goal games: Harvard (Sept. 26) and Georgetown (Oct. 28) ? was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 29 ? his first point came on an assist on Casey Schmidt?s game-winning goal against St. Francis (Sept. 5) ? assisted on both of the team?s goal in the Villanova game (Oct. 7) ? recorded points in three straight games at the end of the regular season ? had a very strong spring season, scoring six goals ? including a hat trick - and one assist in eight games.

As a Freshman (2000)
Played his freshman season at Assumption College in Worcester (Mass.) ? scored 34 points on 16 goals and two assists ? played in all 21 of the Greyhounds' games ? his 16 goals tied the Assumption school record for goals in a season ? was the Freshman of the Year in the Northeast 10 Conference ? also garnered second team all-conference honors ? had five multiple-goal games, including a hat trick against Stonehill (Oct. 12) ? had five points on two goals and an assist in his first collegiate game against Mercyhurst (Sept. 1) ? played on the ECAC Div. II Tournament champion team .. the Greyhounds were 13-6-2 overall ? also played basketball at Assumption.

Before BC
Played for three years at Nobles and Greenough after attending Holliston (Mass.) High as a freshman ? as a senior at Nobles, captained the undefeated ISL League champion team ? scored 14 goals and added three assists in 1999 ? a first team ISL selection in 1999 ? a two-time member of the Massachusetts state prep team ? a Boston Globe all-scholastic and voted the offensive player of the year as a senior ? voted to the New England senior prep all-star team ? as a junior, was a second team All-ISL choice after scoring 16 goals and 11 assists ? voted ISL rookie of the year in 1997 and a second team all-conference selection ? also played basketball and was a member of the ISL first team in 1998 and 1999 ? broke Holliston's school single-season rebound record during the 1996-97 season ? the Tri Valley League's Sophomore Player of the Year for the 1996-97 season ? was voted Most Valuable Player of the Year in 1998-99 at Nobles by the Dedham Transcript.

Enrolled in the College of Arts & Science ? Neil is the fourth of Jan and Harold Krause's five sons ? an honor roll student at both Nobles and Holliston High ? his brother Jared was a former soccer player at Providence College from 1996-98 ? his brother Karl captained the Assumption soccer team in 2000 ? both of his parents are Boston College graduates and his father is a former track standout and a member of the Boston College Hall of Fame ? born June 12, 1981.
