Waterville Valley, NH - Boston College's Men's Ski Team had a strong Giant Slalom performance and finished in overall third place in the Eastern Collegiate Ski Conference regional races. The Eagles finished second in the Giant Slalom, led by Senior Captain Stephen Fiorella's fourth place individual finish. The Eagles edged out Colby Sawyer by six tenths of a second to hold on to the second team position.Senior Greg Graves (tenth) and Senior Captain John Ramer (12th) also had strong showings in the race. Fiorella, Graves and Ramer were awarded slots on the Giant Slalom All Conference Team. The Eagles will now advance to the US Collegiate Ski Association's National Championships March 3-6 at Sunday River.
On Saturday,Junior Dylan Roberts (12th), Senior Hugh Kirkpatrick (16th) and Sophomore David Loftus (18th) led the Eagles to a fourth place team finish. John Ramer also finished in the top 25. Roberts was named to the All Conference Slalom team.
In the combined team standings, the Eagles finished in third place, behind Plymouth State and one place point behind Colby Sawyer. Six Eagle skiers finished in the top twenty-five combined individual scores. Senior Captains Fiorella and Ramer were both named to the combined All Conference Team.
