Solid Finish At Waterville Valley

WATERVILLE VALLEY, NH - The men's ski team had their third race of the season last weekend at Waterville Valley, New Hampshire. The Eagles competed in the Plymouth State Carnival in both slalom and giant slalom races. Although the men had solid times for both races, the team dropped to third place in the overall MacConnell Division standings.
Day one found three of the Eagles in the top ten. Junior Stephen Fiorella and freshman Mike Nocek placed seventh and eighth respectively. Fifth year senior Stephen Fiorella found himself in tenth place at the end of day one's slalom race. Sophomore James Campbell scored in his first race of the year for the Eagles, securing fifteenth place. Fellow sophomore Stacey Bolger finished just behind Campbell in sixteenth place.
Sunday's giant slalom race was another solid finish for the men's ski team. Fiorella placed fifth, with Bolger placing sixth and Nocek coming in seventh. Junior Dave Loftus helped the Eagles with his fifteenth place finish and senior Dylan Roberts capped of the weekend with his seventeenth place finish.
The Eagles look to overtake Colby-Sawyer College, who they trail by two points, at next weekend's MAC Carnival. Day one of the event will take place at Gunstock, New Hampshire, while day two of the meet with take place at Blackwater in New Hampshire.
