Boston College sophomore Johnny Gaudreau has earned Hockey East Player of the Month honors for November after recording 14 points in seven games, the league announced on Tuesday.
Gaudreau tallied at least one point in each of seven November games and finished with a team-high seven goals and seven assists in Boston College's 6-1-0 month. The Carneys Point, N.J., native tallied a plus-minus rating of +10. He scored three game-winning goals and two power-play goals. He recorded four multiple-point performances, including a career-high five-point effort and a +5 rating in the team's 6-3 home win over Dartmouth on Nov. 24.
The 5-foot-8, 153-pound forward has played in all 13 Boston College games this season. He leads the club in scoring with 21 points - 10 goals and 11 assists. He leads with nation with five game-winning goals.
In his Boston College career, Gaudreau has registered 65 points - 31 goals and 34 assists -in 57 games.
The honor marks the second Hockey East Player of the Month accolades for a Boston College player. Senior captain Pat Mullane earned league monthly honors after he registered eight points in five games in October.
The Eagles (11-2-0, 9-2-0 Hockey East), who are ranked second according to both major national weekly polls, are back in action on Friday, Dec. 7 at Providence (7-6-1, 5-4-0 HE). Faceoff is set for 7 p.m. at Schneider Arena.
