Arnold and Gaudreau Earn October Honors

Boston College sophomore forward Bill Arnold has earned Hockey East Association Player of the Month honors for October while forward Johnny Gaudreau has earned the league's Rookie of the Month distinction, according to an announced made on Tuesday.
Arnold, a 6-foot, 210-pound sophomore from Needham, Mass., registered a team-high 12 points - six goals and six assists in eight October games. He also tied for the team lead with a plus-minus rating of +8. Arnold tallied at least one point in six (of eight) October games. He registered five multiple-point performances, including a career-high three points - one goal and two assists - in a 6-2 win at North Dakota (Oct. 8).
Gaudreau, a 5-foot-8, 150-pound freshman from Carneys Point, N.J., registered nine points - five goals and four assists - in eight games. He scored once in each of five victories, including a four-point effort - one goal and three assists - and a +3 rating in the team's 6-2 win at North Dakota (Oct. 8), his second collegiate contest.
Boston College (7-1-0, 5-0-0 Hockey East), which retained the nation's No. 1 ranking in both national polls release yesterday, returns to action on Friday, Nov. 4 at home against Maine. BC will travel to Massachusetts to conclude its two-game weekend the next night. Both games are scheduled to faceoff at 7 p.m.
