2010-11 BC Men's Hockey Schedule
Seven non-conference contests, including the 59th annual Beanpot on the first two Mondays in February, as well as a regular 27-game Hockey East Association slate, represent the 2010-11 Boston College men's hockey schedule.
Boston College will open the season on the road - at Northeastern on Oct. 9. It will then travel to Denver, last winter's Western College Hockey Association regular-season champion, for two games - on Oct. 15 & 16 - and visit South Bend, Ind., to face Notre Dame on Oct. 23 before it returns to Conte Forum/Kelley Rink on Oct. 29.
The Oct. 29 home contest against Merrimack will mark the team's home-opening game. BC will raise its national-championship banner that same night as a final salute to last year's title team.
The home Hockey East portion of the schedule continues on Nov. 2 against UMass-Lowell and features two games against the River Hawks (Nov. 2 and Jan. 22), New Hampshire (Nov. 5 and March 4), Maine (Nov. 19 and 21) and Massachusetts (Feb. 4 and 26).
In addition to Beanpot competition and trips to Denver, Colo., and South Bend, Ind., the Eagles non-conference road schedule also features a trip to Hanover, N.H., to participate in the Ledyard National Bank Classic hosted by Dartmouth College. BC will face against Colgate on Dec. 30 and either Dartmouth or Mercyhurst the following day.
Boston University will make one appearance - Saturday, Dec. 4 - in Kelley Rink in 2010-11.
Quarterfinals of the Hockey East Tournament will be held at campus sites from Friday, March 11 to Sunday, March 13, while the semifinals and championship are set for Friday and Saturday, March 19 and 20 at TD Garden.
The NCAA Tournament will begin with regional play from Friday, March 25 through Sunday, March 27. The NCAA Championships "Frozen Four" is set for Thursday, April 7 and Saturday, April 9 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.
