Gaudreau Named Finalist For Hobey Baker Award

March 21, 2013

Boston College sophomore forward Johnny Gaudreau is among the 10 finalists for the 2013 Hobey Baker Award, presented annually to the best player in college hockey.

In 33 games in 2012-13, the Gaudreau has recorded career highs in assists (29) and points (49). He leads the nation in points per game (1.48).

The Top Ten list is compiled from balloting from all 59 Division I college hockey head coaches and by an on-line fan ballot at: hobeybakeraward.com. The Top Ten list will now be voted on by the 23-member Selection Committee and a second round of fan balloting, to determine the Hobey Hat Trick of three finalists (to be announced April 3, 2013) for this year's Hobey Baker Award.

The Hobey Baker Award Announcement will come on Friday, April 12 at 6 p.m. EST from Pittsburgh, Pa., the site of this year's NCAA Frozen Four Championship.
