Boston College men's hockey, which captured the 2012 Hockey East Tournament title with a 4-1 win over Maine on Saturday night, has earned the NCAA Tournament's No. 1 overall seed and will play Air Force on Saturday, March 24, at 4 p.m. EST at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass.

Saturday's game will be broadcast live on ESPNU in high definition and will also be video streamed online and available at EPSP3.com.

"Coming off a St. Patrick's Day victory in the Hockey East championship and going right into the selection show is a terrific time to be associated with our program," head coach Jerry York said.

Minnesota-Duluth and Maine will follow Boston College and Air Force in Saturday's second Northeast Regional semifinal in Worcester at 7:30 p.m.

The Eagles are making this 31st NCAA Tournament appearance, including their 13th under coach Jerry York. Snooks Kelley and Len Ceglarski each led BC to nine NCAA Tournament berths.

BC and Air Force have five times in school history. The Eagles have won all five match-ups between the teams, including an 8-2 win in the most recent game on Dec. 29, 2007 at the Dodge Holiday Classic at Mariucci Arena. Saturday's game will mark the first contest between the schools in NCAA Tournament play.

The Eagles enter the 2012 NCAA Tournament with a 29-10-1 record and have won each of the last 15 games. Air Force is 21-10-7.
