Game one of the best-of-three game Hockey East men's quarterfinal series between Boston College and Vermont on Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m. will be televised by the NBC Sports Network, according to a joint announcement made by NBC Sports and the Hockey East Association on Sunday.
Boston College (20-10-4, 15-9-3 Hockey East), clinched the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Hockey East Tournament following a 7-2 league win over the Catamounts at Gutterson Fieldhouse in Burlington, Vt., on Saturday, March 9. Vermont finished its season 11-17-6 and 8-13-6 in league play to earn the league tournament's No. 7 seed.
The Eagles went 2-0-1 against Vermont this season and are unbeaten in their last seven meetings between the teams. BC is 4-0 against Vermont in the playoffs, including a 2-0 record in league quarterfinal play. The teams last met in the 2010 Hockey East semifinals - a 3-0 BC win.
Tickets for the upcoming Hockey East quarterfinal series against Vermont are on sale now through bceagles.com. Ticket prices are $15 for lower-level seats and $10 for upper level seats. Student tickets are $5 each or $10 for all three games.
