Boston College will host UMass-Lowell in a home-and-home weekend series beginning on Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 at BC's Kelley Rink.

The Last Meeting (1-16-09)

Nick Schaus scored a power-play goal with 44.5 seconds remaining in the overtime session to lift UMass-Lowell to a 4-3 victory in Kelley Rink. UML, which trailed by one goal heading into the final minute of regulation, netted the game-tying goal with 45.5 seconds left. Scott Campbell tied the score after UML pulled its goaltender in favor of an extra attacker. Kyle Kucharski, Barry Almeida and Brock Bradford each scored once for the host Eagles.

Success In Kelley Rink

Boston College is 10-3-0 this season in games played in Kelley Rink. The team is 7-2-0 against Hockey East Association opponents. Bradford is seeking to become the second active Eagle to have scored 100 points. Classmate Benn Ferriero has recorded 131 points in 154 career games.

• Backstopping BC's defense is goalie John Muse, who has a 2.77 goals against average and a .903 save percentage in 26 games in 2008-09.

• Senior alternate captain Benn Ferriero scored twice in the team's 4-3 win over Harvard on Monday, marking the first time this season and the 11th time of his career. The Essex, Mass., resident has tallied seven points - five goals and one assist - in BC's last seven games.

• BC's offense has attempted 46 shots in two of its last three games. The Eagles fired 46 shots on Northeastern goaltender Brad Theissen in the semifinals of the 57th annual Beanpot on Monday, Feb. 2 and matched the season standard one week later against Harvard in the Beanpot consolation game. It marked the fourth and fifth time the Eagles have eclipsed the 40-shot plateau this season and the 12th and 13th times the team has attempted more than 30 shots in a game.

• Boston College is averaging 33.3 shots per game over the last six contests.

• BC's power play scored at least one goal in a game for the 16th time this season in Monday's 4-3 win over Harvard in the Beanpot consolation game. The Eagles are 10-3-3 when scoring at least one man-advantage goal.

• Senior Kyle Kucharski has tallied one point in three-of-the-last four games (1-2­--3).

In the Final Minute

The outcome of a game has been decided in the last minute of play on five separate occasions this season for Boston College. The team is 2-2-1 in those give games. Massachusetts earned a 4-3 overtime victory over the Eagles on a goal scored with 41 seconds left on Nov. 22. Conversely, BC tied the game - at 1-1 - on Brian Gibbons' goal with 38.2 seconds remaining at Dartmouth and earned the victory on Barry Almeida's overtime game-winner on Nov. 30. More than one month later, on Jan. 9, UVM tied the game with one second left in regulation. Just one week later, UMass-Lowell notched the game-tying goal against the Eagles with 45.5 seconds left in regulation and earned the victory on a power-play goal scored with 44.5 seconds left in the overtime period. In Monday's Beanpot consolation game, senior Benn Ferriero scored the game-winning goal with 41.3 seconds left in the third period to lift BC to the non-conference win.
