Junior forward Dan Bertram (Calgary, Alberta) and Team Canada won the gold medal, while sophomore forward Nathan Gerbe (Oxford, Mich.) and Team USA captured the bronze medal on Friday, Jan. 5, 2007 at the World Junior Championships in Sweden.

Canada won the World Junior Championship for the third consecutive year, scoring a 4-2 win over Russia in Friday's gold medal game. Bertram, also a member of last year's title-winning team, played in all six games for Team Canada.

The United States captured a 2-1 victory over host Sweden to earn the bronze on Friday. Gerbe played in all seven games at the World Junior Championships and recorded six assists.
