Boston College Beats Maine
ORONO, Maine -The Boston College Hockey team won its weekend series opener against Maine, 6-1.
Sophomore forward Blake Bellefeuille (Framingham, Mass.) scored a season-high two goals and added one assist and freshman goaltender Scott Clemmensen (Urbandale, Iowa) stopped 28 shots as the Eagles won for the first time in Alfond Arena since January 22, 1994 (four meetings).
Sophomore forward Jeff Farkas (Williamsville, N.Y.) added one goal and one assist and freshman defenseman Bobby Allen (Hull, Mass.) two assists for BC. The Eagles tied a season-high with three power-play goals in the victory. BC also improved to 8-2 when it outshoots an opponent in a game this season.
The Eagles conclude the series with a match Saturday
