CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College scored five goals in the first period and cruised to a 10-0 exhibition victory over the University of Ottawa at Kelley Rink.

Sophomore left wing Tony Hutchins (Wolfeboro, N.H.) led the onslaught with three tallies in the first period. Hutchins added one assist in the third period to finish with four points for the contest.

Senior forward Marty Reasoner (Honeoye Falls, N.Y.) added two goals and one assist for the Eagles, while freshman forward Brian Gionta (Rochester, N.Y.) contributed one goal and four assists. The Eagles took 47 shots on goal for the game.

Junior goaltender Andy McLaughlin (Milton, Mass.) stopped all 18 shots he faced. The Eagles will open up the regular season on Friday, October 18 against Bowling Green at Kelley Rink. Game time is 7 p.m.
