DESTRY McLEOD STRAIGHT; born March 22, 1993 ... shoots left ... played the 2010-11 season with the Coquitlam Express of the British Columbia Hockey League; prior to that, he played the 2008-09 season with the Hollyburn Huskies of the Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association and 2009-10 season with the North West Giants of the BC Major Midget League ... graduated from Sentinel Secondary in 2011.

BEFORE BC: Registered 67 points - 26 goals and 41 assists - in 49 regular-season games for the Coquitlam Express in 2010-11; tallied 11 power-play goals, one shorthanded goal and two game-winning goals ... notched one trick (at Surrey Eagles, Oct. 13, 2010) ... added three points - one goal and two assists - in four playoff games ... played for head coach Jon Calvano ... totaled 63 points - 12 goals and 51 assists - in 39 games with the Vancouver North West Giants in 2009-10, helping the club gain the Major Midget League championship ... was selected to Team Blue in the 2010 Major Midget League All-Star Game ... helped his team capture the 2009 Mac's AAA Midget Hockey Tournament (in Calgary).
