MICHAEL SCOTT LEPHART: born April 3, 1977 ... shoots right ... earned BC's 1997-98 Outstanding Freshman Male Scholar-Athlete award and, more recently, its 1999-2000 Outstanding Junior Male Scholar-Athlete award ... earned HOCKEY EAST All-Academic Team honors in 1997-98 and 1998-99 ? twice delivered clutch, final-minute, game-tying goals last season; the Eagles enjoyed a 6x5 advantage in one instance (against Boston University; 1/8), and a 6x4 advantage in the other (against Michigan State in the NCAA Tournament's West Regional; 3/24).

AS A SOPHOMORE (1998-99): Played in 36 games; missed two games in mid-November with a right shoulder injury and five games in late January/early February with a left ankle/knee injury ... registered 27 points - 11 goals and 16 assists ... had six multiple-point games, including one two-goal game ... netted two goals, including the gamewinner, against Northeastern (1/15) ... scored one power-play goal and added two assists in a 5-5 tie at Providence (2/23) ... tallied two assists in a home win over New Hampshire (12/5) ... notched five points - two goals and three assists - in two games against Minnesota (1/2-3) ... scored the Eagles' only goal - on the power play - at Harvard (1/13) ... registered one goal and one assist against Colorado College in the Denver Cup (12/27) ... assisted on Chris Masters' goal that opened the scoring against North Dakota in the NCAA Tournament's quarterfinal round in Madison, Wisc. AS A FRESHMAN (1997-98): Played in 40 games ... registered 27 points - 15 goals and 12 assists ... ranked fourth on the team with 15 goals ... had four multiple-point outings, including two in the Eagles' post-season run ... notched six power-play goals ... tallied seven points - five goals and two assists - in seven post-season contests ... gave BC a 2-1 lead with a power-play goal late in the second period of the NCAA Tournament's championship game against Michigan (4/4) ... scored two goals in the second game of the Eagles' HOCKEY EAST Tournament quarterfinal-round triumph over Providence (3/13); had one goal and one assist in a 4-3 win over the Friars in the first game of the series... scored the game-tying goal in the second period of BC's 3-2 HOCKEY EAST Tournament title-game victory over Maine (3/21) ... notched his first collegiate hat trick, including two power-play goals, in a 6-6 tie with Harvard in the Badger Showdown (12/28) ... scored the game-winning goal in a 6-4 home win over New Hampshire (11/4) ... notched two assists in a 5-4 win at UMass-Lowell (2/27).
