Men's Hockey Continues Celebration of National Championship

The Eagles threw out of the first pitch at the BC baseball game & got a standing ovation at Bruins' playoff game

MARK ANGUS BEGERT; born June 6, 1993 ... shoots right ... played the 2010-11 season with the Coquitlam Express of the British Columbia Hockey League; prior to that, he played the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons with the North West Giants of the BC Major Midget League ... graduated from Sentinel Secondary in 2011.

BEFORE BC: Registered 11 points - four goals and seven assists - in 60 regular-season games for the Coquitlam Express in 2010-11; tallied three power-play goals and one game-winning goal ... played for head coach Jon Calvano ... played two seasons with the Vancouver North West Giants, helping the club gain consecutive Major Midget League championships ... totaled 31 points - six goals and 25 assists - in 2009-10 ... was selected to Team Blue in the 2010 Major Midget League All-Star Game ... helped his team capture the 2009 Mac's AAA Midget Hockey Tournament (in Calgary).

PERSONAL: Enrolled in the Carroll School of Management ... a fine student who earned BCHL Academic All-Star honors; also named top student on Coquitlam Express ... Mark is the middle of Meryl and Brian Begert's three sons.
