John Jackopsic Places 21st At ACC's

New London, N.C. - Boston College junior John Jackopsic placed in a team-high 21st place at the 2014 ACC Golf Championship on Sunday after a third round 74 at the Old North State Club.
Jackopsic, a native of West Hartford, Conn., opened the weekend with a 74 on Friday and then shot a team-low 68 on Saturday. On Sunday he shot a 74 for a total of 216, even par for the tournament.
The team placed last in the event with a total of 887 while Georgia Tech won the event with 839, 16 strokes ahead of second place Florida State.
Junior Andy Mai placed 34th in the tournament as he shot a 71 in the final round for plus five for the tournament. A native of Suffield, Conn., Mai shot a 72 in the opening round on Friday and then a 78 on Saturday.
Patrick Oleksack finished in 51st with a plus 10 for the tournament. The freshman from Feeding Hills, MA shot a 72 on Friday and then a 77 on both Saturday and Sunday. Sophomore Nick Pandelena finished at plus 11, while junior Matt Murphy was plus 25 for the tournament.
