Men's Golf Places Third At Oak Hill Invitational

The Boston College men's golf team placed third at the Notre Dame Oak Hill Invitational held on April 21 and 22 at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York. The Eagles total for three rounds was 898 to place third behind Nebraska (870) and eventual winner and host of the tournament Notre Dame (866 points).
John Jackopsic led Boston College as he shot a 69 on the final day of play to finished plus eight in the tournament which was good for sixth place. Andy Mai shot a low round of 71 on the second day and placed tied for ninth in the tournament. Matt Murphy placed 13th as he was +13 for the tournament. His low score in three rounds was a 71 on day two.
Patrick Oleksak tied for 17th in the tournament as he shot a +18 in three rounds. His low score was a 74 in the final day of action. Nick Pandelena shot a +23 for three rounds as he finished tied for 23rd. His low for the three days of play was a 73 on the second day.
The Boston College team will now head to North Carolina to compete in the 61st annual ACC Men's Golf Championship, which will be held Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, April 25-27, over the 7,102-yard, par-72 course at the Old North State Country Club in New London, N.C. The Eagles will tee off between 8:30-9:10 a.m. along with Maryland and Notre Dame.
