PORTSMOUTH, R.I. -- The Boston College men's golf team finished seventh in a field of 15 teams at the University of Rhode Island Newport Invitational at Portsmouth, Rhode Island on April 17 and 18. Rhode Island won the two-day event with a score of 608 (310, 298) followed by the University of Connecticut (629) and Providence College (636). Mike Sims led Rhode Island to victory, capturing first-place honors with a score of 147 (75, 72).
Boston College's top performer was Sean Lim, who finished the two-day event with a score of 157 (77, 80). Rich Tilghman posted a score of 164 (79, 85) and finished 29th. Patrick Dunn tied for 38th with a score of 167 (86, 81). Rounding out the Boston College competitors was Josh Folkerth (T-54th, 173) and Mark Sullivan (T-60th, 176).
