CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College football team will face Arizona State in the Aloha Bowl, on Christmas Day, Monday, Dec. 25, at 3:30 p.m. EST (10:30 a.m. HST), according to an announcement made by Aloha Sports, Inc. on Sunday. The game will be televised nationally on ABC-TV.
Boston College finished the season 6-5 and a 3-4 mark in BIG EAST Conference play. Arizona State was also 6-5 on the season and 3-5 in the Pacific-10 Conference.
The bowl trip will be the 12th in the history of the school and marks the second-straight for the Eagles. Last season, Boston College lost to Colorado by a 62-28 score in the Insight.com Bowl. The invitation marks just the fourth time in school history that BC will advance to a bowl game in consecutive year joining the 1940-41, 1982-83-84 and 1992-93-94 seasons.
